The system created by David Zyla has a lot of elements to it, and by no means does this cover all the interesting parts about it, like choosing specific shades from your features to evoke certain moods. This presentation is just a simple slide that hopefully helps to demonstrate the relationship between the nature images, artworks and the signature scent AND the facial balance of the verified celebrities.
You essentially want to look at the impression of the flower; Does it expand outward? Is there sharp upward movement? Do the edges feel diffused or clear cut? Compare these aspects with the reference images and you’ll probably narrow down on your potential types pretty fast. The fragrance suggestions help to bring this archetype to life, and can be used as an emotive cue of whether you’ve arrived at the correct type.
The nice thing about this approach is that you can quickly start working with the general recommendations or at the very least eliminate a lot of options that probably don’t work, and fine tune it to your unique colouration and physicality as you explore the type(s).
